Welcome to Michigan Moto Adventures!

What is Michigan Moto Adventures?

If you're here, you’re likely interested in off-road riding. You may already own a bike or be considering purchasing one in the future. I understand how significant this decision is—what bike to choose? How big should it be? Should I get a dual-sport or an adventure motorcycle?

These are important questions, and the answers aren’t always straightforward. There are many factors to consider: What kind of terrain do you want to ride on? How far do you plan to travel? What is your budget? What if you buy one and find you don’t enjoy off-roading or that it’s too challenging?

That’s where Michigan Moto Adventures comes in. We believe that anyone can enjoy off-road riding! You don’t have to stop when the pavement ends; that’s just the beginning of your adventure.

We offer entry-level guided tours for those eager to experience the thrill of off-road riding. Whether you’re a lifelong street rider ready to stand up on the pegs or a complete beginner looking for your first taste of dirt, we’re here to bridge the gap. Our goal is to equip riders with the fundamental skills needed to confidently tackle new terrain, so you can embark on your own off-road adventures.

Why Michigan Moto Adventures?

Adventure motorcycles have gained popularity over the past 20 years, and for good reason: these versatile bikes excel in various riding conditions. Dual-sport motorcycles are also highly sought after for their off-road performance. With a wide array of adventure and dual-sport motorcycles available, choosing the right one can be daunting. These bikes can be intimidating, often featuring tall seat heights that may make riders uncomfortable. Many new owners are left unsure about how to proceed with off-road riding.

We’re here to guide you through this thrilling new experience. The good news is that whether you choose an adventure bike or a dual sport, both share the same fundamental riding skills, making it easier to transition.

We provide  Kawasaki KLX230S—a beginner-friendly bike that offers a lower seat height (32.7"), lighter weight, predictable power, proper size wheels for off road riding and a 6 speed manual gearbox allows the bike to cruise at higher speeds.  You won’t have to wonder if you’ll enjoy off-roading until after you’ve purchased a bike; come ride ours and find out for yourself!

Our routes are carefully designed and tested with the KLX230. We prefer that riders experience the bikes we provide, but we do also offer a Bring Your Own Bike (B.Y.O.B.) option, with certain restrictions.

We prioritize your enjoyment and safety - bring your own riding gear, and we’ll take care of the rest, ensuring you have everything you need for a fantastic ride.

Our guided ride navigates back roads, scenic dirt roads and rugged two-tracks, allowing you to soak in the natural beauty of the region while enjoying the excitement of off-road riding.

Hello, my name is Paul, and I’m a motorcycle rider.  My journey began in 2002 when I purchased my first bike, a Honda CRF450. While it may not be the typical starter bike, I quickly fell in love with off-road riding, which led me to explore street bikes. I started with a Suzuki GSX-R1000, just kidding! I started with a Kawasaki Ninja 250! Over the next five years and several bikes later, I decided to embrace a new trend: Adventure Riding, and I haven’t looked back since. I’m currently on my third adventure bike, a Yamaha Tenere 700.

Michigan boasts over 4,000 miles of state-designated ORV trails, scramble areas, and forest roads! While I may not ride them all, I certainly plan to try.

Realizing the need to improve my skills, I sought training and began to focus on becoming a better rider. Now, every time I ride, I pay attention and strive for continuous improvement.

This is the mission of Michigan Moto Adventures: to help riders who want to get into dual-sport or adventure riding. We offer beginner-friendly routes and emphasize key skills that enhance riders' confidence while allowing them to ride at their own pace. The best part? You ride our bikes!
